O2 released Lollipop for O2 branded handsets last week. Anyone with a Samsung direct phone (ie No O2 branding) is still waiting though.
Just posting this to avoid confusion for anyone else thinking they should have the update.....

And for those who bought it anywhere else sim free? What about them @MI5 ?

There are only 2 types of phone:

1 - Network branded

2 - SIM Free

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thank you for repeated clarification....The question appears to be asked over and over again on various Lollipop update threads...

I haven't update yet as I waiting to see if there any issues . If I do, has  anyone put together  simple pain free process together covering:

  • backup using kies ( contacts, txts, apps)   or a an app
  • Backup favourite launcher settings
  • Charge up phone
  • Install lollipop
  • Restore via Kies
  • Restore any backed up settings.

Kies 3 will do all the above including installing the lollipop update.
