Hi, does anyone know when Android Lollipop will be released for the Galaxy S5 on O2?

I know that the update has started to roll out for some regions, and I have heard that it's due before xmas,

can anyone from O2 confirm?

many thanks,

Kerwin.

I'm in no hurry to get the update for my S5 having seen the mess it made of a previously good Nexus 5.

Wasn't that 5.0.0 though? I got 5.0.1 on my Nexus 7 and it's great.

I am running lollipop as of yesterday and it is buggy as hell. XXU1BNL9 freezes and eats battery even after complete factory reset. Be interested to hear how others are finding it.

That's what early reports are saying of 5.0 but I would have hoped that O2's rigorous testing would have identified any major issues.

Don't get me started wink

Maybe @Chris_K can confirm if they found battery drain an issue during testing?

Installed 5.0 on Tuesday. Not bad. Not finding it buggy. Maybe a wee bit slower than 4.4.2. Battery life is hard to judge so far but may be a bit shorter. Pretty happy with it though.

I love having notifications on the lock screen. However, I can't specify sensitivity for notifications per app like I can on my Nexus 7, which is odd.

Performance isn't great. Hopefully Samsung and O2 will make an updated 5.0.1 or 5.0.2 image available to us to improve this. However, I don't see any sign of this so far on http://www.sammobile.com/2015/01/22/01-22-2015-firmware-updates-galaxy-s5-galaxy-s4-mini-galaxy-tabp.... Anybody heard anything or got any advice for improving performance?

Other than repeating the advice to factory reset after an update, it will be a case of waiting for 5.01
