Hi, does anyone know when Android Lollipop will be released for the Galaxy S5 on O2?

I know that the update has started to roll out for some regions, and I have heard that it's due before xmas,

can anyone from O2 confirm?

many thanks,

Kerwin.

Oh...Why is that Rich? ....Are they putting the S4 at the back of the queue as it's not so popular now?

Simply because the S5 is a newer model.

Once received, usually a couple of weeks - this typically allows enough time for thorough testing and any necessary fixes/updates/enhancements.

Just bought an unlocked O2 S5 and using it on EE network instead.

I believe I update it through Kies instead of OTA, right ?  Anyway, glad to hear Lollipop is expected in the next couple of weeks.  If so, that's a helluva lot quicker than EE approve, customise and release firmware.  Fingers crossed.

It makes no difference how you update it assuming it was unlocked correctly with a code from O2 and not a market stall/phone shop etc.....
If it wasn't properly unlocked any update could re-lock it.

You can always do it again if need be - Just come back if you do but as it's generally free and easier to do it properly you should be OK.
