Hello,

Please could you tell me when Kit-Kat will be available for my Note 2 over Kies or OTA?

Thanks,

Three, EE and Voda have all released 4.4.2 for their N7105's but I don't think O2 ever sold the LTE version and there is no generic UK firmware for this device either.

More people are reporting updates of their Note II to KitKat e.g. http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/GT-N7100RWDBTU
Be aware that with 4.4 you may not be able to write to your SD card. If I had known that, I would not have accepted the update.
Cheers
Tom

You can still write to your SD card, but certain permissions have changed for security reasons. You might find this article useful.....

Aye lots and lots are now reporting they Note 2's have been updated to KK 4.4.2,Three, EE and Voda and BTU.

Yet nothing from o2 apart from

"Our latest information is that there are currently no plans to release a KitKat update for the Note II, but that's not to say it won't happen. If or when we become aware of any new information around the Note II receiving this update, i'll be sure to let the community know. To confirm, this is not specifically around O2 customers - Samsung themselves have not yet released or confirmed any plans to get KitKat on the Note II, certainly within the UK at least."

That says it al imho.

It's looking more likely now that Samsung have released their generic UK firmware but I'm sure Chris_k will let us know when he knows....
