I'm on holiday - Data roaming not working - help!

I have an unlocked Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 that I'm using on the remainder of my O2 pay monthly contract. I am on holiday at the moment in Portugal and can't use data for some reason. I have O2 Travel enabled. I have obviously turned on data roaming in the phones settings. Is there something I'm missing? I don't get any data notification at the top (like 3G 4G H+ etc)

I can make calls as my phone is successfully roaming for voice.

It worked fine on my old HTC M8 using the same sim on last year's holiday to France when I originally activated O2 travel.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous have you checked your network settings to ensure data is enabled for Android devices?

You could try texting Active to 2020 save the settings that are sent back and reboot your phone. *(this may not work whilst abroad but worth a check) Other than that ...if it doesn't work, you need to contact O2 CS (number from abroad in this link) http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Thanks for that. Texting 2020 resulted in a text back saying they couldn't send settings.

I tried the reset of APN settings to default suggested in your link and that worked. Thank you very much slight_smile
