If you don't have insurance then you could drop it into an O2 shop and they'll send it off for you.

Assess the damage and ring you to provide a costing.

You can then authorise the repair or decline and they'll send it back to you.

It's best to have an authorised engineer do work on the phone so your warranty is not voided IMO.

Also if you contact the Manufacturer on their uk homepage they may be able to assist too.

If you don't have any insurance on the phone it may be worthwhile checking your home insurance. You may be covered for personal items. Some bank accounts also cover phone insurance.

Sadly the M8 is one of the most difficult phones to replace a screen on.
It is easier to just place your motherboard into a new shell.
Most end up chucked in the bin if the screen is damaged as it's not worth the repair 😞

If you find somewhere that will attempt the repair be sure to pass on the knowledge - I'm sure it will be useful to many others.
