HTC One Mini 2 problem...

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I'm using the stock email app with this device.  Anyone know how to stop images attached to emails from auto-downloading to the SD card when you simply open the email to read it?

This is going to munch its way through my data allowance in no time at all!

TIA,

AndyM

That's a bad omission from HTC....
Most phones allow auto download on wifi only.
Perhaps you might want to try an alternative email app off play store - Something like K9 email for example?

settings/accounts/email/settings and select the account/more settings and then untick 'auto-download attachments'.

Thanks for that.  If only that were the answer.  The 'auto-download attachments' option doesn't exist on this device.  Been on to HTC in the meantime and the 'official' response is that it cannot be done!
