HTC ONE X + CANNOT RECEIVE CALLS/TEXTS

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have discovered today that I cannot receive calls or texts on my HTC One x +

If i ring it from another phone, its rings for a split second then straight to voicemail. I can however ring out perfectly fine on it

Likewise with texting, I don't receive any texts but can send them

Even my missed call text alerts now appear in the top preview panel, but won't appear in my inbox

Chatted with an O2 guru but didn't achieve much to be honest. Is sending out a new SIM so will give that a go, but I am not convinced that it will solve the issue

Has anyone had this problem before, and if so any remedies to hand?

Cheers

At least you now know from this its not the SIM card.

As said the manufacturers warranty is the next step, if a hard reset does not remedy the situation.

Its possible a sim could cause the problem  but there could be any number  of  reasons.

There may be a network  problem in the area. Check your postcode in the status link in my signature just below.

Can you try your sim in another phone as a process of elimination ?

As said by jonsie, the Sim could cause the problem. Check if there is a mast near you as also mentioned by jonsie.

Could you possibly insert your Sim into a different phone to see wether the phone or sim is faulty?

Thanks for your reply

Checked the postcode and it all looks good for my area so guessing its not that

Anything else I could be trying that you can reccomend?

I followed the Guru's advise to clean the SIM etc but it hasn't made any difference

Alot of the Android forums talk of software issues, but I haven't downloaded any apps etc in the short space of time this has been happening

Was made aware of it on Saturday, and a simple reboot appeared to get rid of the issue with regards to the calls, but the text issue still remained, yet today nothing appears to be coming through to me, yet everything out going still works

Or you could try lengthening your ringtone as described here?

Credit to jonsie..

On checking back it is probably a far more problematical issue than ringtone though... :smileywink:.
