Well HTC have announced their new flagship, as expected the main selling point is a OIS front facing camera.

It does address some of the shortcomings from the previous iterations such as better battery, better rear camera, and more but I feel it is all too little too late to save HTC. They needed to do something big and bold to make people look up, and I feel this phone just won't deliver.

Plus with the price point expected to be that of the S7 it's a tall ask.

Many of us on here are really astounded by O2's decision not to stock this flagship phone. One other poster is buying his outright directly from HTC. Apparently they have an offer on if you apply a certain code at checkout...

And nothing to do with o2 uk as they are separate companies under telefonicas umbrella or soon not to be unless the Eu ruins the sale of o2 uk

Obviously it is totally possible for there to be differences in what is done country to country, but they are in fact the SAME company are they not? I was under the impression that o2 was a subsidiary of Telefonica. Microsoft in the states and Microsoft in the UK... still Microsoft. What I don't understand is how o2 can see the potential for the device in Germany but here in the UK not.

Same parent company but run as individual entities.
Each one has it's own CEO.

Many thanks for double checking. Its a real pity retentions are giving out incorrect info!
Looks like I will be buying direct from HTC or looking into the mobiles.co.uk deal (if its still running)
