Re: Galaxy SIII Launch

Got my beverage and popcorn at the ready alongside some mirofibre cloths to polish up the soon to be recycled 4S.

I do work for O2 but my comments and opinions posted here are solely my own and do not necessarily reflect those of Telefónica

Re: Galaxy SIII Launch

Looks pretty good. No new GPU although that's already quad-core I believe, so the processor cores should run in 'unison' (although strictly speaking not isochronously) and take fuller advantage of that.

Still plenty of power left in the S2 although I might get the bigger battery which should yield around another 6-8 hours use with normal use.

Carphone seem to have some fairly good prices.

Shame I'm not an Android fan.

Re: Galaxy SIII Launch

i had expected a joint launch with Visa. I was in co-op bank head office the other day and Visa were there showing off their V.me mobile contactless payments app for android phones on the samsung galaxy s2. she told me they were partnered with sammy for their new phone and with the olympics. I thought they might make it a joint launch.

I really hope o2 or someone release NFC Contactless Paywave/paypass payments on a good mobile phone soon in the UK!

Re: Galaxy SIII Launch

O2, Voda and EE had planned on launching in time for the Olympics, but Three complained they were being left out, so it's on hold until they can agree a deal.

Pretty much the same story as 4G.

Re: Galaxy SIII Launch

Also google objected. But no1 has objected about visa doing anything or o2 doing anything by themselves like orange /Barclaycard
