Re: Galaxy S3 FIRMWARE UPDATE YET?

If you flash the official FW through Odin, Kies will still offer you updates.

When I enter *#7465625# to check on lock status, I get this message:
Connection problem or invalid MMI code.

Any ideas?

Re: Galaxy S3 FIRMWARE UPDATE YET?

Also, when will we get a working version of the three new stock releases SINCE the current O2 firmware was released? The current firmware knackered the sound with the screen off (audio glitch) which had been addressed by Samsung on their last two firmware updates. I don't want to (a) flash backwards with Odin or (b) unlock my phone and install stock firmware. I might have to do the latter, though. Is there any disadvantage to unlocking? I'm in an O2 contract so will not be changing SIM or provider.

Re: Galaxy S3 FIRMWARE UPDATE YET?

I get exactly the same error messages when typing that in also! I have just flashed via Odin to the most upto date firmware and it was a lot easier that i imagined. Apparatnly the new firmware can cause your phone to become sim locked again though and i dont know how to check this now as the above code doesnt work on my phone either!

Same thing happened to me. However when i popped in my friends 3 SIM card my phone immediately prompted me to enter the unlatching code provided by 02. My phone is now SIM free.
