The Lg G3 was the first phone with a QHD 2560x1440 screen and that's been out a few months now, so developers should have a bit of a head start.
My apologies - it all made sense in my head at the time but it didn't translate fully to text - my bad... I should have said the combination of display attributes made it a first - in terms of the size, resolution and display tech - Super AMOLED. I've had the pleasure of briefly getting a hands-on with the Note 4 and I can tell you, the screen is bar-none the best on the market for a mobile display. The clarity rivals the G3 (which is one hell of a device!) but the colours need to be seen to be believed. Everything just pops and looks so natural and vivid, and while the G3 is impressive - it doesn't compare.
For those like me holding out for the Note 4... That screen is truly something special! 😉
