Flash player for Android

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all - I have just upgraded from a HTC One X to HTC One - M8, it's great except that I am not able to view any videos in Facebook ?? I have looked into this and apparently Adobe no longer supports Flash player on Android (not sure whether it's mobile devices as a whole or just Android). I googled it and followed other people's suggestions to download various apps (Flashfox, Realplayer cloud, Puffin) but none of them have worked. It's really frustrating having to fire up the laptop just to view a minute long video clip!!!

Has anybody else had this problem and found a solution ??

Thanks in advance.

If you don't want to use the app the only option you have is to sideload the flash .apk from the archive if there is a suitable one for your os.

Use the app - Flash isn't required for the app to work.

never had a problem with facebook videos but if you are accessing via the website they won't play. If you are using the app, try uninstalling and a reinstall after rebooting the phone.

Hi - i prefer the desktop site, the app doesn't function as well as the app. I uninstalled from my previous HTC for that reason! I thought about re-installing but thought better of it after reading the reviews on playstore!!
