I've just changed from an iphone to samsung galaxy and was advised by 02 to change my data settings from iphone to android. I've been searching online to find out how to do this but I can't find anything.  Can anyone help? thanks

You need to sign out of iMessage on your iPhone and remove your phone number. If this is not possible anymore you can call Apple and ask them to remove your number manually from their servers.

Hi, go to my O2 on the O2 site and log in.
Go to bolt ons and select manage my bolt ons.
Swap data bolt on for iPhone with data bolt on for general smartphones.

Ring 202 and they'll change your account settings to come off iData settings.

Be prepared for lengthy wait though if you call 202, they will likely be very busy today.

thanks everyone that's my first problem sorted. I am now having a further problem with 02 seem to be unable to resolve.

Because I had an iphone previously anyone who is sending me a txt from an iphone is automatically sending me an imessage and I am not receiving them as I no longer have an iphone.  Does anyone know how to resolve this?  I thought the answer to my original problem would resolve this also but it hasn't worked and I am sick of being on hold to 02 and the live online chat wasnt much better 😞
