Hi

If you buy a phone outright in say Spain (Galaxy S6) will my UK sim and number be fine with that phone?

I have a sim free galaxy A3 european model and it needs to be activated with SIM from any european network according the label on the side of the box. Once you have made cumulative calls over 5 mins you can then use SIM cards from other regions too (again according to label on box!)

Yes, an EU region phone will be fine, but phones from other regions may give problems if not correctly activated.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Bearing in mind that you actually can buy phones in Spain from phone shops (similar to CPW) which allow you to link to the UK network of your choice including O2... Also many of them are sold sim free

They are often cheaper in Spain wink
