02 number not being recognized through my Sony xperia z2 tablet

I brought a sony experia z2 tablet yesterday, I had a sim card for 4g given to me with a number to use. However when I typed that number into 02 priorities it said it was not a recognised number and my tablet will not allow me to make calls.

Any help?

What sim is this, and has it been topped up, which should register it on the system?

It was a sim card to enable me to get 6gb of 4g a month... It fits my tablet and it has a number attached to it. But how do I activate it? Thank you for responding

It needs to be topped up with some credit.
